Stripey Cats are continuously working and looking at ways to improve our products and make them greener. Stripey Cats are very passionate about the environment and are striving to do our bit to help the planet.
How we strive for sustainability
Our Cards
All our cards are printed on FSC certified paper (meaning the paper our cards are printed on comes from sustainably sourced timber) and it’s made in the beautiful Lake District!
We offer our cards for sale in compostable cello bags, or simply just the card (with a small opaque paper belly band or card clasp to keep it together). We continuously assess the possibilities and if we find a more environmentally friendly way to keep our cards looking tip-top we’ll always consider using it.
Keeping it local
We use UK companies for all our printing, making and dispatching material, helping to reduce our overall carbon footprint.
Our packers and finishers are a local team (including friends and family!). Which helps support our local economy which is also important for our local environment.
Recycling our cards
Our cards are designed to delight and last. Once gifted why not frame the card and hang it in the nursery or bedroom as a keepsake. Our animal cards are perfect for the woodland, safari or jungle themed room!

We can also offer our cards without the wobbly eyes, so if this is something you would like just let us know.
Recyclable Label
We’ve added a brand new recyclable label to the back of our googly-eyed greetings cards, because fun shouldn’t end in the bin. Each card now says: “Don’t throw me away, I’ve still got flair – Re-use my eyes or hang me somewhere!”
So whether you turn them into wall art, re-use the eyes for your own craft projects, or just keep them around for a giggle, these cards are designed to live on.
Packaging
We have re-designed our personalised clock gift box, so we can now remove the need for a bubble wrap bag. We have ditched the grey plastic mailing bags and have sourced a brown paper mailing bag to use instead. Boxes are made in the UK.
Personalised Clocks
We use a local framer to make our frames. Clock components and print paper are bought from a UK company.
